Proud to Support the Communities We Live and Work In
Our Community
We’re more than just your local gas supplier — we’re part of the community.
As a family-owned business, we believe in giving back to the people, clubs, schools, and organisations that make our region such a great place to live. From local events and sporting clubs to community fundraisers and emergency support, we’re proud to stand behind the causes that matter locally.
Who We’ve Supported
Dunga Derby – Rally for a Cause

Saints Rugby – Peregian Springs
Club Sponsor | 2019-2026
Saints Rugby Club plays a vital role in the Peregian Springs community, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all ages. The club continues to grow in strength year on year, with increasing membership and a strong, supportive culture that extends well beyond the field. Hotgas is proud to have supported Saints Rugby as a training jersey sponsor for six years, helping the club develop players, promote teamwork, and strengthen community connections.
We look forward to continuing our partnership in the years ahead, including supporting special opportunities such as overseas trips as the club continues to grow and evolve.
Rural & Regional Community Support
Mary Valley Region
John and Jan, the owners of Hotgas, have called Carters Ridge in the Mary Valley home for over 36 years, building strong ties within the local community and a deep appreciation for the region and its people. Because of this connection, Hotgas has proudly supported a range of regional events and initiatives over the years, including the Mary Valley Show, the Kenilworth Show and Rodeo, Imbil Bull Bronc Barrels, GourMay Mary Valley, and Mary Valley Alive.
These events celebrate e verything that makes the Mary Valley special — from agriculture and rodeo to local food, arts, and community connection. Our ongoing support reflects our long-standing commitment to the rural communities we service and the people who
keep these events thriving.
Charity Support
Various | Ongoing
At Hotgas, supporting charities close to our hearts is an important part of how we give back to the community. Over the years, we’ve proudly donated to organisations such as the Salvation Army and the McGrath Foundation, helping fund vital services and cancer research.
In 2024, we also made a special donation in memory of ‘Boof’, our much-loved Dock Operator who passed away, supporting Motor Neurone Disease research. Giving back in this way allows us to honour loved ones, support important causes, and contribute to the wellbeing of our wider community.
Lifeline Cooroy
Country & Denim Sale
Hotgas was proud to support the annual Lifeline Cooroy Country & Denim Sale during the years it was held at the Cooroy Memorial Hall. As a sponsor of the event, we were pleased to help a dedicated group of volunteers raise valuable funds for Lifeline’s vital crisis support and mental health services.
The event became a much-loved fixture on the local calendar, bringing the community together while supporting an important cause. Today, the Country & Denim Sale continues to go from strength to strength from its home at the Lifeline Cooroy store, raising incredible funds for the charity each year. We are grateful to have played a small part in helping establish and support an event that continues to make a meaningful difference in our community.
Give Me 5 For Kids
Hotgas is proud to contribute to the annual Give Me 5 For Kids Charity Auction, supporting an initiative that helps raise vital funds for local children’s health services. It’s a cause that makes a real difference to local families, and we’re pleased to play a small part each year by donating towards the auction and helping support better outcomes for children in our community.
